Tools for painting work
Depending on what paint you want to use for painting and the type of painting work themselves, various rollers, brushes, ruler and spatulas may come in handy.
High quality brushes are made of pure bristles. Such brushes absorb the largest amount of painting, are able to keep it inside, which does not allow the paint to drain.
The largest in size are fly brushes with a round section and a fairly long handle (about 1.8-2 m). They are sold already ready or in the form of a bunch of bristles, which requires a ligament. Flaw brushes are convenient to use when staining large areas, such as walls or ceilings.
For painting surfaces with a small area of oil or adhesive paints, handbags are used – small -sized brushes. The largest handwriters should have a hair length less than 40 mm, small – 26-30 mm.
Flaps – flat brushes with a short handle. They are made of high -quality bristle or badger hair. Flaps are used to smooth out freshly condensed paint and remove traces left by handbrakes or for staining.
For painting places in which the handbrake does not pass, as well as for the stretching of philanters, phylene brushes are used flat or round section with diameters of 6, 8, 10, 14 and 18 mm
To give the freshly painted surface a rough texture use endings – these are rectangular brushes with a size of 15 x 76 mm, made of solid bristles. The handle is attached to such a brush so that it is convenient to strike with ends on the fresh layer of paint and at the same time eliminate irregularities on the surface. Only glue and oil paints can be trimmed.
More productive than the hands in the work of the rollers, the surface painted with them has a slightly rough texture. But rollers can both be painted and applied to the ceilings and walls. Rollers are fur and foam. The latter are more durable, the fur stalls quickly.
To apply and level their putty, spatulas are needed. Their working part can be made of steel or solid wood.
Metal spatulas use to level the putty on wood or metal, and besides this, to remove the layers of old putty, paint, and wallpaper.
Remember, for high -quality painting, the surface needs to be well prepared, cleaned of dust and other little things.
