To determine the quality of the brick, attention should be paid to the color of its core and the sound made during impact. If its color is more saturated than the color of the body of the brick, and it makes a ringing sound when impact, then such material has good quality. If the brick is unfinished, then it has a mustard color and makes a dull sound. It is not recommended to use it, since it is poorly opposed to frost and moisture. But if its shape is not violated, and only the core has black, then such material is subsequently not inferior in its strength to the gland.
