Polypropylene dowel: Features of the use of fasteners
Polypropylene dowel is an extension element used to reliable fixation of building materials. When choosing fasteners, it is necessary to take into account the type of material, the degree of load and the density of the base.
General purpose dowel is used for fastening to solid, hollow, soft bases (brick, concrete, stone).
Universal dowel is suitable for installation in continuous and thin -walled bases (chipboard, drywall, gypsum fiber).
Gvozda dowel is used to fix rails, skirting boards, frames, cable channels.
Polypropylene facade dowel (Djubel-dlja-teploizoljacii) is designed to fasten thermal insulation materials of various types: mineral wool, polystyrene, foam, glass wool. Foam concrete, brick, concrete can act as the basis.
Tarelly dowel is made of PEND (low -pressure polyethylene). A galvanized metal rod acts as a nail. Zinc coating protects fasteners from corrosion, which allows the use of a dowel for thermal insulation of the facades.
Installation of facade dowels during thermal insulation of buildings
Preparatory stage. The surface marking is preliminarily carried out. To create holes, a perforator is used: the depth of the holes should not exceed the length of the dowel sleeve by more than 10 mm. The resulting holes are cleaned of dust.
Installation of dowels. The fasteners are inserted into the hole and pressed until the hat is completely pressed to the thermal insulation layer. The nail is inserted into the dowel and clogged with a hammer for final fixation.
The final stage. The nail hat is equipped with a protective lid, which must be fixed after installation in the center of the rubble part of the fastener element. The thermal tower prevents the appearance of cold bridges in the thermal insulation layer, and also protects the metal from moisture exposure.
A plate dowel with a metal nail is characterized by high strength and bearing capacity, which allows us to widely use it to attach heavy plates of heat -insulating materials. The diameter of the expansion washer depends on the degree of deformation of thermal insulation material. Standard fastening involves the use of five to six dowels for 1 m2. The total number of dowels is calculated based on the total area of insulation.
